Proud WINNER of the Best Agricultural Business of the Year in the 2022 Waitaki Business Awards.

Our Story

A local lad from Maheno, when Glen decided to follow his dream to return to the land and tend animals, he combined his passion with that of his wife Bronwyn who had a strong sense of community and passion for the environment.

Together they purchased land on the outskirts of Oamaru, and separately, purchased the existing business of The Natural Dairy, with a passionate commitment to doing it the right way.

Believing themselves to be caretakers of the land for generations to come, they practice sustainable farming following organic principals, and a jack of all trades, Glen even built his own dairy shed.

Glen is a fourth generation town supply dairy farming, his father Frank milked a 70 cow herd for town supply in the late 70’s when glass bottles delivered to your door was standard operating procedure. Glen's grandfather (also Frank) grew up on the outskirts of Christchurch delivering full cream goodness to the doors of his neighbours...and so by continuing to his roots, Glen continues on a family legacy.

Glen's connection to the land and hard work was well grafted from a young age through potato picking and carting hay, which funded his passion to fly, and become a top dressing pilot. His decision to return to his roots and ground his feet on the rich dark soil of North Otago was a natural progression.

Brownyn's passion for the environment was a motivating factor that led Glen and her to take on the Natural Diary business. Together their vision was to produce a quality product, sustainably. Another driver was to recycle and reuse glass milk bottles. In their first year alone, they were proud to have been responsible for 25,000 less two litre plastic bottles going to landfill.

Bronwyn dedicated her life to making the world a better place, not only environmentally, but through her interaction with the communities that she has been part of. Bronwyn valiantly fought breast cancer, meeting each new challenge with stoicism and grace. Sadly, she passed away on 12 April 2022.

Glen, with the support of their daughter Amelia, is committed to continuing his and Bronwyn's Natural Dairy vision
